Paid to pee...

There was a time when I was unemployed and not blogging, because writing required time that I shouldn't be wasting on writing. But that time has long since passed. I've returned to the ranks of contributing working class grunt, and I find that while I have no time to blog... I now get paid to pee.
That's somewhat facetious. But the raw fact of the matter, when I was unemployed, and someone messenger'd me, or something fantastic happened - as it keeps happening within the ranks of the TTC, it would always be on my time and my real things wouldn't get done. But all the working grunts could message, water cooler talk and still get enough work done as expected.
That's the odd thing about the office. Any one who tells you that they do nothing but sit in your cubicle and work from 9 to 5 is lying. But take a break while self-employed, or unemployed with personal deadlines, and the productivity loss is real.
In conclusion, I find it strange, yet mildly satisfying being a working grunt once again. The work is satisfactory, and the company (optionsforhomes.ca - blogged about previously - they actually took me in!! here's to cold-calling opportunities!) has a vision for the future city of Toronto, and the City everywhere.
And while it has taken me away from writing, for now, and hopefully I'll return once youth volunteer trips and remaining personal projects are out of the way, I will be back. Till then, I'm thankful that I'm back amongst those who also get paid to pee.
