Crazy storm that started in Texas has shut down Toronto. Our friend stayed over last night and may have to stay over again the storm is so big. Cars driving up the hill coming off the Gardiner have to get out and push. The radio warns us to stay home if we can. Church services across the city have been cancelled. Instead of glass and concrete, the view today is a sea of glass and white!
But isn't it funny, as I read some of the blogs I presently read, that this Sunday is one of the best. Allowing us to do the things we wouldn't normally do, enjoy the time we wouldn't normally have, and rest from the busy lives we presently live.
Isn't it funny that we collectively breathe a sigh of relief on a day when we don't have to go to 'church' and sabbath. There's a point to be missed in all of this.
But more to the point, do things inside today, enjoy a fireplace (unless it's not efficient) and a cup of joe. Read a book. Venture outside and play in the snow. Angels might not last long, but have a great time. Us? We're going to brave the snow, and try to see the Raptors/Celtics game - try and capitalize on the scalpers' poor fortune. If not, we'll have enjoyed the walk and played in the snow :)

Edit: It seems the scalpers were a bit cranky today, just a few anyway. One guy, about to cuss, said we're selling them at face, this is the best team in the league, there is no discount. If it wasn't for the snow, we'd be selling for twice this price... Hey, I was just asking.
We enjoyed the walk, played in the snow, but the cheapest price for 3 seats together was $150/ticket. Pairs could be found for $40, but we begged off, picked up some wings and watched the game at home, nice and cozy. How did you spend your snow day?

we need more snow day sundays :)
or just church days where we "do" nothing. no programs. just worship and enjoy each others company. and celebrate with food, of course. :)
it's just so fascinating that people could be snowed in, excused from church, and enjoy life more... ikes.
